Here is a quick shot from my iphone of Kennedy and a group of friends banging out a tune with some sticks dudring their weekly Monday assembly. Each group of three did their own "routine" to the same beat. Lots of fun.

HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY JaCkSoN!

Jackson NEVER holds still, never has. Jackson does NOT like to have his picture taken, so coming up with a slide show of Jackson for his birthday is quite a feat. We love Jackson and all of the "interesting" activities he enjoys; skinning roadkill, making candles, climbing trees, and biking for donuts to name just a few.

Jefferson and the National Anthem

My children never cease to amaze me. Jefferson came home last week and told us he had volunteered to sing the National Anthem at the girl's basketball game Friday night. I asked, "With your choir group?" Jefferson said, "No, just me." Wow! some huevos. He didn't practice with anyone, didn't get his choir teachers help, "I've been singing in the shower and in the car mom, I'll be fine." I was so nervous for that boy, seriously, what was he thinking? How would he know if he started out on the right note or key? Well, I made it through fine, just some sweaty palms, a racing heart, and major butterflies in my stomach. But, for the record, I didn't cry.

Harrison was having a terrible, no good, horrible day today. I asked him what was making it such a very awful day. His reply, "It's been a jackpot of bad moments." Wow! I told him that was not a jackpot I would like to win. Love that boy.

Today Jefferson turns 17. That means only one thing; we have only 18 months until this man-child is out on his own, as an independent member of society. Cooking, cleaning, shopping, laundering, eating in public and most importantly, managering of his time. We can do this people, we can do this!

We love Jefferson and love the man he is turning into. Happy Birthday Jefferson!
