Shhh... We're hunting TREES!

We went for the "old fashioned" tree hunt in the Mt. Hood National Forest today. Absolutely beautiful weather and scenery!!! Oh yeah: the trees were only $5 each. Good times :)

Kidnapped!

The night of her birthday, Kennedy was "kidnapped" by some of her friends (aka the "A's and B's" -- Aramaki and Biancardi girls). They stormed the house, took her for a few hours, and then dropped her off again...AFTER dressing her in an unusually-iridescent-pink suit! Wish we could say we were surprised at any of it.

Happy Birthday to Kennedy! Nine is Fine...

Our Favorite Things About Kennedy:

She plays the piano like a pro
She is mostly nice
She has gorgeous hair
She is strong, smart, and beautiful
She is sweet and silly

We love you Kennedy! Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday!!!

Our Thanksgiving Tree

Our Thanksgiving tree is growing. During this month we have been adding things that we are grateful for to the tree. Some of my favorites are: monkeys, nachos, hair, hearing, bats, chainsaws, missionaries, energy, a big back yard, the gospel, and of course, family and friends.

Yum!

One of Jackson's electives at school is cooking. Jackson loves to bake and is really very good at it. He came home with a delicious apple pie today. This is all that was left of the pie by the time the camera man got there.

Thanks Jackson, it was fabulous!!

Jackson has attended a few classes through Cascadia Wild and he is now ready to help them track Wolverines. The Forest Service is trying to find out if any wolverines habitate in the Mt. Hood wilderness any more. Jackson and Tim are now learned trackers and can tell you what some tracks are. Here is the elulsive wolverine. Pretty.

Jefferson at the State cross-country meet

Here he is coming down the track for his last 200 meters. The boys West-Linn team placed third overall in the 6-A high school division. WAY TO GO LIONS!!!

Ever wonder what Jackson does to entertain himself on a 5 hour road trip to Watch his brother run?

Trick-or-treat

Kennedy, Harrison and their good friend Kimi, posing at a rather ghoulish house along their trick-or-treating route.

{sImPLE SimON}

Kennedy and Harrison participated in their combined classes play of Simple Simon. Harrison and friends are parading their "exquisite and large" pie around for Simple Simon.

Kennedy was one of the many musicians playing their mirimbas.
